The Toy Association’s Kimberly Carcone Named TSNN Awards ‘Industry Icon’ Finalist

November 25, 2024 | Trade Show News Network (TSNN) has named Kimberly Carcone, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association™, an “Industry Icon” finalist for its 14th annual 2024 TSNN Awards.

The Industry Icon Award recognizes a leader with a long-standing, significant contribution to the trade show industry. Nominees demonstrate visionary leadership, exceptional impact on industry innovation, and a legacy of mentoring and shaping the future of trade shows. Finalists are chosen based on their tenure in the industry, scope of influence, key milestones in their career, advocacy for the industry, and contributions to industry growth and development.

Carcone is a seasoned professional with more than 30 years of experience in non-profit and corporate management, live and digital event strategy, management and execution, marketing, communications, and publishing. She is responsible for managing The Toy Association’s go-to-market events and experiences portfolio, including Toy Fair®, the largest toy trade show in the Western Hemisphere and LA Fall Preview, an all-new marketplace for long-lead toy previews.

Over her tenure at The Toy Association, Carcone has received numerous accolades: She was named one of EXPO Magazine’s Expo Elites and was nominated for Event Marketer Magazine’s B2B Dream Team in 2017. She most recently was named a 2024 Women in Toys, Licensing, & Entertainment (WiT) Wonder Woman in the Unsung Hero category. Since Carcone joined the organization’s events team, Toy Fair has been awarded three Gold 100 Grand Awards by Trade Show Executive Magazine (“Against All Odds,” “Best in Social Media,” and “Greatest Show on Earth”).

Carcone is also a founding member of the North American Women in Exhibitions Networking and is a board member of the New York chapter of the International Association of Exhibitions and Events (IAEE), Javits Customer Advisory Board, and New York City Tourism + Conventions.

The 2024 TSNN Awards will take place Monday, December 16 at The Novo during Expo! Expo! and the IAEE Annual Meeting and Exhibition in Los Angeles.
