FIT & Otis College of Art and Design to Showcase Student Creations at Toy Fair®

toy fair centerJanuary 16, 2025 | In a celebration of innovation and creativity, the talents of toy design students from the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT) and Otis College of Art and Design will be on display in a dedicated gallery at this year’s Toy Fair®, taking place March 1 to 4 at the Javits Center in New York City.

“At Toy Fair, we take great pride in fostering an environment where students and aspiring toy industry professionals can showcase their innovative work and forge meaningful connections,” said Kimberly Carcone, executive vice president, global market events at The Toy Association. “The Student Showcase will be located in a high-traffic area of the show floor, near product zones, including the first-time exhibitors Launch Pad. We believe in the power of collaboration and are dedicated to providing a platform that nurtures the growth of these individuals and potential for our global attendees to discover new talent.”

All Toy Fair attendees will have the chance to browse the Student Showcase gallery, which will be located on Level 1 of the show floor at Booth 5879. The display will feature student-created projects, products, and artwork, in addition to contact information for anyone looking to get in contact with a future toy designer. Toy Fair’s “snack shack” for attendees to purchase beverages and food will complement the gallery.

Damian Mucaro, chair of the FIT Toy Design Program, said: “We’re displaying a wealth of designs over multiple categories and disciplines — from concept sketches to final 3D prototypes. Our current students are truly as creative and dynamic as our alumni, and we can’t wait to share the unique, imaginative ways that they’re inspiring children!”

“We’re excited to have an exhibit at Toy Fair!” said Jennifer Caveza, chair of toy and product design at Otis College of Art and Design. “Our showcase highlights the exceptional work of our talented students from Otis Toy Design. The display features projects from a variety of courses in our program, and gives the industry a look at up-and-coming designers.”

Toy Fair® will take place March 1 to 4, 2025 at the Javits Center in New York City. Attendee registration and hotel bookings are now open. Limited space is available to secure a spot to exhibit. Visit ToyFairNY.com to learn more.
