TSCA Advocacy Day Announced by TIA
On April 13th, TIA will host a day on Capitol Hill dedicated to advocating for passage of Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) reform legislation. Members from coast to coast are invited to join TIA representatives and encourage key policymakers to collaborate, finalize legislation and propose a bill to the President as soon as possible. Meetings will be held with congressional offices and officials from the Environmental Protection Agency.
“TSCA reform is very important to our industry, and the House and Senate have already passed TSCA reform bills this Congressional session,” said Ed Desmond, TIA executive vice president, external affairs. “This is an important chance to show our industry's presence in Washington and urge immediate action.”
All TIA members are invited to participate. The program will begin with dinner on the night of April 12th at a location to be announced shortly, followed by a day of meetings on Capitol Hill. A complete agenda, along with the lineup of attendees and speakers will be announced on www.ToyIndustryAssociation.org in the coming weeks.
