ILA & USMX to Sign 6-Year Master Contract Today

The International Longshoremen’s Association (ILA) and the U.S. Maritime Alliance (USMX) are set to formally sign their six-year master contract agreement today, March 11. The agreement, which was overwhelmingly ratified by 99 percent of ILA members working at Atlantic and Gulf Coast ports, will retroactively take effect on October 1, 2024, and remain in place through September 30, 2030.

Tariffs on Imports from China Rise to 20% as Mexico & Canada Paused Until April 2

As previously shared in an email update to the full Toy Association membership, President Trump has announced a delay in the implementation of tariffs on goods imported from Mexico and Canada until April 2. This decision follows the president’s March 3 announcement of sweeping 25 percent tariffs on goods entering the United States from Mexico and Canada, which initially took effect at 12:01 a.m. on March 4.
