Now Available to Members: Toy Association Launches Smart Packaging Initiative
November 27, 2018 | The Toy Association’s new Smart Packaging Initiative (SPI) – a free member benefit allowing toy companies to determine the environmental impact of their product packaging designs – is now available online.
The Toy Association worked with The Walt Disney Company to bring its Smart Packaging Initiative to Association members. The SPI is an online design tool to help improve the sustainability of toy packaging and create a better experience for consumers.
The Toy Association recently held a webinar, “Understanding How to Use The Toy Association’s New Smart Packaging Initiative Tool," that provided toy companies with an introduction to the tool and an overview of how to use it, demonstrating how to enter necessary inputs, how to “test drive” alternatives, and how to determine the score of packaging choices relative to the rest of the industry. A recording of the webinar is now available.
Members with questions about the tool may contact Al Kaufman, senior vice president of technical affairs at The Toy Association.
