Toy Association Mourns the Passing of Ava Slepicoff, Beloved Friend & Colleague
July 9, 2018 | It is with great sadness that The Toy Association announces the passing of Ava Slepicoff, a beloved friend and colleague, who passed away on July 9, 2018.
A 31-year veteran of the toy industry, Ava joined the Association (at that time called Toy Manufacturers of America) as an account executive in November 1987.
“The loss we feel with Ava's passing comes in equal measure to the love and laughter she brought to our lives,” said Marian Bossard, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association. “Ava's intelligence, wisdom, kindness, and humor made those of us fortunate enough to spend our days in her presence better people for the experience. She loved this industry and took great pride in her work at The Toy Association. We will forever keep her in our hearts.”
Added Steve Pasierb, president & CEO: “Ava’s genuine love for her colleagues and the people of the toy community combined with her warmth, enthusiasm, and deep caring are just a few of the many fine qualities that made her so wonderful to know. While I and our team are devastated by her loss, Ava will occupy a lasting place in our memories and our lives. Our hearts go out to Ava’s family and to all who loved her dearly.”
Details on services in celebration of Ava’s life will be announced soon. Industry friends are invited to contact Kimberly Carcone for information as it becomes available.
