Upcoming Webinar to Address New Warning & Labeling Requirements Under California’s Proposition 65
June 5, 2018 | The Toy Association will hold a webinar on June 28 at 2 p.m. (Eastern) to provide toy companies with an overview of changes and updates to California’s Proposition 65 warning regulations that will go into effect August 30. Registration is now open to all toy professionals.
The one-hour session, “California’s Proposition 65: An Overview of Changes to the Warning Regulations & New Labeling Requirements,” will be presented by Anthony Samson, senior attorney and policy advisor at Arnold & Porter, and moderated by Alan Kaufman, The Toy Association’s senior vice president of technical affairs.
Proposition 65 requires businesses to provide warnings to California residents about significant exposures to chemicals that cause cancer, birth defects, or other reproductive harm. California’s Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment has made changes to the requirements for warning labels, including those considered a “safe harbor,” which become effective on August 30, 2018.
All toy industry stakeholders are invited to participate in this session. The webinar is specifically recommended for quality control professionals, compliance officers, and chemical program managers.
Webinars are free for Toy Association members and $49 for non-members. Contact Anne McConnell, The Toy Association’s senior director of market research and data strategy, with questions regarding this webinar.
