Learn More about New Smart Packaging Tool at Toy Fair New York
January 18, 2019 | Interested in learning more about The Toy Association’s new Smart Packaging Initiative?
Toy Fair attendees are invited to a special Toy Fair New York seminar titled, “The Smart Packaging Tool – What It Is and What It Does,” taking place on Saturday, February 16 from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. (Hall 1E, Room 1E11). During the session, presenters Christian Del Maestro, corporate citizenship manager at Disney Consumer Products and Interactive Media, and Alan Kaufman, senior vice president of technical affairs at The Toy Association, will demonstrate how the new tool works and answer questions.
Late last year, The Toy Association unveiled the new member-exclusive benefit that allows companies to determine the environmental impact of their packaging designs, test alternatives, and benchmark the impact of their designs against those produced by the rest of the industry. Working in partnership with The Walt Disney Company, The Toy Association was able to adapt the Disney platform for member use, and the easy-to-use tool will help companies better assess the impact their product packaging designs have on the environment, and hopefully will encourage them to choose more eco-friendly options.
All toy industry professionals are invited to participate in the session, however the tool hosted on the Association’s website is exclusively for members. For more information on Toy Association membership, contact Bernadette Boyle, senior membership manager.
Toy Fair New York will take place February 16 to 19 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. Visit ToyFairNY.com or download the free Toy Fair app to learn more about educational sessions, special events, hotel bookings, and more.
