Learn About Future Changes to EU Directive on Restriction of Hazardous Substances
July 7, 2020 | Toy Association members interested in the future of the European Union’s Restriction of Hazardous Substances (RoHS) Directive, which restricts the use of certain hazardous materials found in electrical and electronic products, including battery-operated and electrical toys, are invited to attend a free webinar on July 9 at 10 a.m. (Eastern).
Hosted by the International Trade Administration’s U.S. Commercial Service and the Office of the European Union, the webinar will discuss the European Commission’s plans to begin mandated revisions of the RoHS Directive and what impact these revisions may have on manufacturing practices and trade flow worldwide.
The session will be led by Meglena Mihova, a leading RoHS expert and managing partner at EPPA, a public affairs consultancy specializing in environment and trade.
To register, members may contact Robert Straetz and Matthew Kopetski at the U.S. Department of Commerce.
Questions about the RoHS and other global issues of importance to Toy Association member companies may be directed to Alan Kaufman, senior vice president of technical affairs at The Toy Association.
