Toy Association Announces Preview Day to Connect Target Buyers with Innovative Toy Companies

Selected Toy Companies Invited to Show the Following: STEM, Educational, Games & Activity Toys

August 28, 2020 | As part of its commitment to helping toy companies succeed – especially during this period of uncertainty – The Toy Association will host a private, virtual product preview day October 8 to connect a select group of toy suppliers with Target buyers. Companies not currently selling to Target are invited to apply for this exclusive opportunity by filling out the online application by Thursday, September 10 at 5 p.m. (Eastern). First priority for this opportunity will be given to Toy Association members.

Target buyers are specifically looking to meet with toymakers and innovators in the following categories: STEM, Educational, Activity, and Games, as well as Black-owned businesses.

“We are thrilled to help create a path for talented toy companies to present their unique products to Target’s influential buyers,” said Marian Bossard, executive vice president of global market events at The Toy Association. “As the pandemic continues to impact companies of all sizes, we recognize the importance of helping toymakers forge ahead, gain crucial exposure and feedback, and expand their businesses in 2021 and beyond.”

The submission period for the product preview day will close September 10, at which time Target will review all applicants. Those who are selected will be notified by The Toy Association the week of September 21 and will be required to pay a $500 participation fee. A live Q&A prep session for accepted applicants will be held October 1. All preview sessions will take place via Zoom between 2 and 6 p.m. (Eastern) on October 8; details on how the afternoon will unfold will be shared in the coming weeks.

The private preview day is an example of The Toy Association’s ongoing work to provide members with access and opportunities to help them grow in the U.S. and abroad.  For more information about The Toy Association’s resources and initiatives, visit www.ToyAssociation.org.
