Meet ALDI Buyers in Upcoming Product Preview Day
February 9, 2021 | As ALDI continues to expand its e-commerce operations and grow its physical footprint with more than 2,000 stores and counting, the U.S. grocery chain has turned to The Toy Association to connect with toy companies for new business opportunities. On March 11, the Association will host a virtual product preview day for toymakers to have their products reviewed by ALDI buyers.
The deadline to apply for this opportunity is Monday, February 15. As with previous product preview days, priority will be given to Toy Association members.
ALDI buyers are seeking products across multiple categories including plush and animated holiday plush, life-like baby dolls, outdoor play items, scooters and balance bikes, and more. ALDI is also looking to work with companies who can offer private label toys as well as companies with established corporate responsibility policies and procedures, and those with the capabilities to service all Aldi stores in the U.S.
Once the submission period closes on February 15, ALDI will review all applicants. Selected companies will be notified by The Toy Association by February 26 and will be required to pay a participation fee. If multiple products are chosen by the retailer for separate meetings, multiple participation fees will apply. Live Zoom pitch sessions will be held on March 11; additional details will be shared with selected participants.
This preview represents one of many offered by The Toy Association to provide 450+ toymakers with access to leading retailers to help grow their businesses in the U.S. and abroad. Previous Toy Association virtual product previews included Claire’s, Family Dollar, Meijer, QxH, Spencer’s, Target, TRU Canada, and Urban Outfitters.
