Supply Chain Disruptions Continue to Impact Toy Foundation & Other Charities
December 7, 2021 | The Toy Foundation (TTF)’s Executive Director Pamela Mastrota appeared on NBC News Saturday, December 4, to discuss the impact of supply chain disruptions on charities that provide toy donations to children in need.
Since the onset of the pandemic, TTF has seen all new toy donations fall in dollar value nearly 80 percent since 2019.
“With the holiday season well underway, our partners are still struggling to ensure they have enough toys for the children and families who need them most,” said Mastrota. “Every child deserves to experience the wonder and excitement of unwrapping a toy this holiday and we’re eager to work with toymakers to fill the gaps to make that happen! That’s why we’re continuing to remind our friends across the industry that there’s still time to donate to TTF and bring toys to children who might otherwise go without this holiday season.”
Companies with excess product available to donate can fill out and submit The Toy Bank product donation form or contact Elizabeth Max, director of strategic partnerships & programs at TTF, to learn more. No donation is too small. TTF seeks toys for kids ages 3 to 13, including fidget toys, ride-ons, arts & crafts, puzzles and brains teasers, pretend play and dress-up toys, outdoor toys, games, and more. Free pick-ups are available.
