Canadian Toy Association to Host Virtual ‘State of the Industry’ & Annual General Meeting in June
May 31, 2022 | The Canadian Toy Association (CTA) will host a virtual "State of the Industry” panel on Wednesday, June 22 from 2 to 3:15 p.m. (Eastern), in conjunction with its Annual General Meeting (AGM).
All toy and play professionals are invited to join industry leaders for an executive-level discussion that will share insights on the industry's current state, examining the most critical concerns from the past year with a focus on the future.
The meeting will include a retail panel presentation answering industry questions and address the following topics:
- The current state of the industry in North America
- How the industry is adapting to the new “normal”
- How to deal with ongoing supply chain issues
- How to manage inventory and escalating freight rates
Panelists will include Gail Banack, vice president of kids & chief kids officer at Indigo Books & Music/Indigokids; Alison Hartnoll, head of e-commerce at Mastermind Toys; and Nick Muriella, vice president of merchandising & supply chain for Toys“R”Us Canada. Graeme Bissett, chair of the CTA and director of marketing for Makeship Ltd., will moderate.
To help guide this interactive discussion, the CTA is also requesting attendees submit questions for the panel in advance. Questions may also be emailed to CTA's Executive Director Serge Micheli. All submissions must be received no later than Friday, June 10, 2022.
