CPSC Chair to Deliver Keynote Remarks at Toy Association’s Toy Safety Seminar During Toy Fair®
August 15, 2023 | The Toy Association™ has announced that Alexander Hoehn-Saric, chair of the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), will be the keynote speaker at the “Legislation, Safety, & Compliance Update,” during Toy Fair®. The toy safety seminar will take place on Monday, October 2 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in Hall 1E at the Javits Center in New York City.
Hoehn-Saric’s keynote address will cover topics pertinent to the toy industry, including testing requirements, safety standards, counterfeit products, and more. The presentation will be followed by a Q&A from the audience.
“Chair Hoehn-Saric will undoubtedly provide invaluable insight as we navigate the evolving landscape of toy safety, and we are honored to welcome him to our seminar and to experience our members in action firsthand at Toy Fair,” said Ed Desmond, executive vice president, global government & regulatory affairs at The Toy Association.
The educational session will cover critical toy safety updates as well as the industry’s top state, federal, and international legislative and regulatory priorities. It will also provide an overview of the Association's efforts to prevent passage of any harmful legislation or regulation.
