CPSC eFiling Briefing to Take Place December 4
December 3, 2024 | The Toy Association is notifying members that the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) recently announced a public meeting that will be held Wednesday, December 4 at 10 a.m. (Eastern) to discuss a draft final rule on certification requirements for the upcoming eFiling framework for imported products. Toy Association staff will attend the hearing to monitor developments on behalf of the industry.
The proposed updates to revise the Commission’s existing rule on certificates of compliance (16 CFR 1110) will apply to all CPSC-regulated products. A meeting for the CPSC commissioners to discuss the draft final rule is scheduled for December 18.
The briefing is open to the public and will be live streamed online. Manufacturers, importers, and business stakeholders are strongly recommended to attend this informational session to learn the latest information relating to the upcoming changes to GCC and CPC certification requirements directly from CPSC.
