Remembering PlanToys’ Kosin Virapornsawan

September 12, 2024 | The Toy Association™ and its members mourn the recent passing of Kosin Virapornsawan, president and managing director of PlanToys. He was 42 years old.

Virapornsawan worked in the toy industry for more than a decade, leading sustainability efforts, environmental stewardship, and ethical business practices at PlanToys for 14 years at the company’s headquarters in Thailand.

“Kosin leaves behind an extraordinary legacy that we are committed to honoring, though his unique vision is irreplaceable,” the company shared in a post on LinkedIn.

“Services have already begun in Thailand. In lieu of flowers, we kindly ask that, in honor of Kosin, you engage in play whether or not you have children in your life,” the post continues. “Embrace life with the highest level of joy and excitement whenever possible. Live fully while also considering the well being of our planet. Continue to create the beautiful world you envision for yourself, your family, and future generations. As a father and visionary, these were Kosin's lifelong goals.”
