‘Toys for the North’ Donates More than $600K in Toys to Canada’s Remote Regions

toys for the north donation 2024December 13, 2024 | The 14th annual “Toys for the North” campaign — a national toy collection and distribution charity run in partnership between The Canadian Toy Association (CTA), logistics supplier Thomson Terminals, and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police — has donated toys valued at $615,043 to thousands of families in need living in Canada’s most remote regions.

An additional $2,664 in monetary donations were raised during CTA’s online auction during the organization’s Hall of Fame Reception and Dinner on November 14.

Toys for the North is 100 percent volunteer run and collects and distributes products to families that often cannot access or afford toys during the holiday season, supporting Newfoundland and Labrador, Ontario, Manitoba, Yukon, Northwest Territories, and Nunavut.

The 2024 Toys for the North program has been made possible by generous donations from: Bogoroch & Associates LLP, Brave Toys Party Ltd. (dba Connetix Tiles), Creative Education of Canada, Inc., Do-Gree Fashions Ltd., Goliath Games, Hasbro Canada, LEGO Canada, Mainfreight / Exploding Kittens, Mastermind Toys, Mattel Canada Inc., MGA Entertainment, Moose Toys, Playmobil Canada Inc., Ravensburger North America Inc., Scholastic Canada, Shelcore Canada (dba Funrise Canada), Spin Master, and TCG Toys.

The Toys for the North Campaign has distributed over $2 million worth of toys to children and families in need in Canada’s north since 2010.
