The two sides agreed to continue to operate under the current contract until the union can meet with its full Wage Scale Committee and schedule a ratification vote, and USMX members can ratify the terms of the final contract. Details will not be released until ILA rank-and-file-members and USMX members review and approve the agreement.

The labor contract originally expired on September 30 last year and was extended until January 15 following a three-day strike in October. The two sides resumed formal negotiations on January 7.

In December, The Toy Association joined a coalition of more than 260 federal, state, and local trade associations in sending a letter to the parties urging them to return to the negotiation table.
