The Toy Association™ Releases 2024 Impact Report
July 8, 2025 | The Toy Association™ has released its 2024 Impact Report, outlining a year of transformation, leadership, and progress on behalf of the global toy and play community.
“The Toy Association is proud to be a unifying force in service of our members,” said Greg Ahearn, president & chief executive of The Toy Association. “In 2024, we strengthened our foundation and deepened our impact — and in 2025, we’re accelerating forward together.”
A key highlight of 2024 was setting the stage for the Association’s new Three-Year Strategic Plan, grounded in five core pillars — Global Advocacy, Experiences, Engagement, Inform & Educate, and Giving Back — that will shape every facet of the Association’s programs and partnerships moving forward.
The Toy Association’s advocacy efforts remained a central focus, with the formation of a Tariff Task Force to address the evolving trade landscape, the appointment of a chief policy officer, and laying the groundwork for the new Centers of Excellence in government affairs; standards, technical, and regulatory policy; and communications. Federal and state advocacy helped advance legislation that defended members from costly and unnecessary regulatory burdens, while global engagement continued to advance toy safety standards and regulatory alignment.
In 2024, the Association also delivered impactful new industry experiences. The first-ever LA Fall Preview™ provided nearly 80 toymakers with dedicated showroom space during a critical selling window, while planning advanced for the opening of The Toy Building™ in El Segundo in August 2025. The Association also welcomed People of Play™ into its portfolio, expanding consumer engagement and inventor outreach, and began preparations for Toy Fair®’s epic return to Q1 in 2025.
Throughout the year, The Toy Association continued to empower members through timely data, educational programming, and marketing exposure. This included more than 2,800 webinar participants, new retail and trend research, and a new initiative with the Ethical Supply Chain Program.
Meanwhile, The Toy Foundation™ delivered the power of play to more than 3.2 million children in need — a record year — through its Toy Chest and Play Fund programs. Emergency toy donations reached children impacted by natural disasters, while $380,000 in Play Fund grants supported play therapy in 20 hospitals nationwide.
