The Toy Association™ will host its 2026 DC Fly-In and Annual Day of Play on Capitol Hill from June 9 to 11, 2026, bringing the toy industry’s voice and the power of play to Washington, DC. The events will bring together industry leaders and policymakers for meetings, discussions, and hands-on play activations to elevate the importance of toys and play in children’s lives and the U.S. economy.

During the June 10th meetings on Capitol Hill, Toy Association senior business leaders will engage directly with lawmakers and congressional staff to highlight the toy industry’s economic and cultural impact in the U.S., and advocate for policies that support product innovation, small businesses, and continued growth across the industry. The Toy Association and Toy Foundation Boards of Directors will also convene for their board meetings while in DC.

On June 11th, The Toy Association’s Annual Day of Play on Capitol Hill will coincide with the United Nations’ globally recognized International Day of Play, aligning the industry’s advocacy efforts with a worldwide celebration of play. Taking place in the Rayburn Foyer, the event will transform Capitol Hill into a showcase of hands-on play activations and toy company exhibits, illustrating how toys and games support children’s development while reinforcing the importance of policies that protect and promote play opportunities.

“Meaningful policymaking starts with open engagement and shared understanding,” said Kathrin Belliveau, chief policy officer at The Toy Association. “When policymakers can experience the value of play firsthand, it deepens their connection to the children and communities we collectively serve. As we gear up to celebrate the United Nations’ International Day of Play, it’s a powerful reminder that play is a universal right — and that perspective helps drive thoughtful policies that support growth, innovation, and children’s well-being.”
